Always excited to revisit our favorite spots, we ventured west to check out Westwood Sports Pub & Kitchen. The journey was well worth it, and not even the allure of Westfield shopping center could distract us from our mission. Westwood is one of the many top-notch ETM Group venues, and judging by the flavors we experienced, they've perfected their formula once again.
This premium venue features stylish furniture tastefully arranged in a bright and airy space. Shiny brewing tanks are hoisted high, showcasing the tank-fresh pedigree of the group. With lofty ceilings, booths of various sizes, and ample alfresco space, we saw immense potential for a variety of private and corporate events. Westwood is perfect for parties, breakfast meetings, large corporate functions, and private dining events. The staff were efficient, attentive, and utterly charming. And the food? Absolutely spot-on!
We started with the Octopus salad special and the Tuna tartare. These Instagram-ready dishes, especially the Tuna, brought a pleasing aesthetic to the table and tasted as good as they looked. Our herb-crusted Peterhead cod was perfectly cooked and nicely paired with gremolata and courgette. However, it was understandably overshadowed by the succulent Cumbrian Longhorn Sirloin. Char-grilled to perfection and accompanied by peppercorn sauce and thick hand-cut chips, it’s sure to be a crowd-pleaser. To finish, a massive deconstructed Pistachio cake with chocolate fudge and crème fraîche filled whatever space we had left.
Westfield is already a popular destination for shoppers. With Westwood Sports Pub & Kitchen right next door, we anticipate the local party and private dining scene will continue to flourish.
