With such a wealth of great options, choosing the right London spaces for corporate events requires a strong understanding of our partner venues. The team at Flavour Venues & Events strives to attend as many venue showcases, viewings and research opportunities as possible, to place ourselves in the shoes of our clients. This beneficial and rewarding practice is often very enjoyable too. Our stay at the opulent South Place Hotel reassured us of the stellar quality of this versatile hotel venue, whilst providing us with a luxurious and relaxing treat. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit, and here’s why:

South Place Hotel benefits from a fabulous City of London location. Less than 5-minute walk from Liverpool Street and Moorgate stations and a stone’s throw from Finsbury Square, Broadgate, and Shoreditch. It’s an excellent base for business guests and tourists alike. We were wowed upon setting foot in the door. The hotel is artfully decorated with rich woods, chic furniture, and expertly curated artworks. As striking as the communal areas were, our bedroom was even more impressive. Luxurious touches, such as the cloudlike king bed, our marbled bathroom with a swimming pool sized bath and high-end B&O television made it difficult to leave. Little touches including a well-stocked minibar, original artwork and even a pillow menu marked this hotel as a cut above. This was a well facilitated, premium quality habitation.

The hotel ranks highly when it comes to hospitality too. We were treated to an extensive venue tour by Sarah, their Director of Sales & Marketing and immediately saw a wealth of event potential. Their first floor houses many exciting event spaces. We loved the Secret Garden; an elegant bar and dining space which featured a retractable roof and an abundance of lush foliage which is themed for the seasons. Their meeting rooms come in a range of sizes, each bathed in natural light and boasting state-of-the-art AV equipment, strong privacy features and pleasing decorative touches. The silver birch wall of their Peel suite was strikingly memorable. Our favourite was Kuryakin which featured a round scarlet table, circular chandelier, and a wealth of extravagant red leather. Each of these rooms offer amazing versatility, cleverly transforming to meet business or pleasure events requirements. For example, their Le Chiffre library bar and lounge can be extended to include the Solo private room, which includes a custom transforming billiards table for leisurely gatherings with friends or clients.

When it comes to excellent food, South Place Hotel scores highly again. We’ve long been fans of Angler, their impressive Michelin starred restaurant which serves exquisite fish dishes. Angler Terrace is an extension of the restaurant. This Provence inspired rooftop terrace offers majestic City views and features a retractable roof for year-round events. Their street level South Place Chop House offers a classic British grill menu where meat is the star. Offering a relaxed, yet high quality selection of steaks, burgers, and breakfast items to be enjoyed throughout the day. We can confirm their full English breakfast was next level! The adjoining 3Bar has a buzzy vibe, and the aforementioned Le Chiffre serves exquisite cocktails with a speakeasy vibe to guests, when not hired exclusively.

As guests of the South Place Hotel, we were treated like royalty. As event professionals, we were dazzled by their array of fabulous spaces, suitable for all manner of private and corporate events. South Place Hotel is an absolute jewel of a venue, one which we are delighted to feature as part of the Flavour Venues & Events portfolio.
