The Josephine Room at The Jugged Hare is a stunning private room with exposed brick walls, vaulted ceilings and restored Champagne racks. This room is perfect for private dining, conference and meeting space and can accommodate up to 24 on one large square table, up to 36 on a horse shoe shaped table and up to 50 on round tables. The Jugged Hare in Barbican is a beautiful venue with a great traditional pub atmosphere and restaurant famous for its British game dishes.

Located on Chiswell Street, in an historic part of Islington, our gastropub and restaurant provide a unique dining experience with locally sourced food, hand selected drinks menu, and cosy, traditional decor. The Jugged Hare is available for bookings for private events and occasions. With eclectic taxidermy and whimsical illustrations of game lining the walls and cosy red leather nooks, The Jugged Hare is a truly British venue suited to any occasion. We can accommodate up to 45 guests seated and 75 standing in our Josephine Room, with vaulted ceilings and restored champagne racks. Make the most of your event by exploring our food options and serving guests the best of what Britain has to offer! For information, please take a look at our thoughtfully crafted menus. We’re very close to the Barbican and will gladly accommodate you for any pre-show food and drinks. You won’t need to specifically make a private booking for any pre-theatre meals unless you are part of a large group and anticipate needing a private booking.
