For our more intimate private dining room, we've chosen to honor Sadie McLellan, one of the most renowned Scottish artists of the twentieth century. McLellan crafted the etched windows that adorn the restaurant, paying tribute to the industries of the bank's primary clientele: agriculture, fisheries, shipping, architecture, education, engineering, weaving, and printing.

Located just a short walk from Waverley Station, Princes Street, and St. Andrew Square, Hawksmoor Edinburgh occupies the stunning former National Bank of Scotland Banking Hall, a Grade A listed 'building of national importance.' The restaurant has been thoughtfully refurbished to highlight the building’s original features. Hawksmoor Edinburgh showcases the finest Scottish produce, offering seafood from the Scottish coast and beef from grass-fed native breed cattle from both sides of the border. Renowned for serving some of the best steak in Edinburgh, the restaurant also offers bar snacks and cocktails crafted by award-winning bartenders. The venue features two private dining rooms, accommodating up to 12 and 48 guests respectively, where our sharing-style menus ensure you experience a variety of cuts and sides. On Mondays, enjoy corkage for just £5 all day, and on Sundays, savor roasts recognized by Observer Food Monthly as among the best in the UK. Our Express menu is available for lunch and early evenings, Monday through Saturday.
